Who Nea desperately needs…
We are looking for one special person to save her. It might be you. It might be someone you know.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide the following:
- A quiet home. Noise is what stresses her most.
- No other animals. She is unlikely to ever be able to share her space.
- No children. Not living with her and not visiting regularly.
- Very few visitors. Lots of strangers arriving is what sets her back.
- The same routine, every day. Predictability and safety are what she needs to heal.
What you'd be taking on…
Nea has been through a lot in her life.
She is very sensitive to unpredictability.
Sudden noise, sudden activity, people doing unexpected things, energetic dogs getting into her space, eye contact held too long…
Can all prove too much for her.
She'll duck away from a passing lorry and she pulls back from anyone who tries to force affection on her.
She is currently on anti-anxiety medication and you'd need to be willing to work with a qualified and insured practitioner (please read below) to ensure both you and her have the best possible start to your relationship.
Who Nea really is…
Nea just wants the chance to love and be loved by the right person.
She has never had an owner treat her the way an animal deserves to be treated.
She's affectionate.
She's cheeky.
And once she trusts you she just wants to be near you, curled up on the sofa with a chew.
She loves being outside and she loves her walks.
She travels fine in a car.
And she's lead, harness and muzzle trained.
What support you'd get…
You won't be doing this on your own.
A qualified and insured practitioner will work with you and Nea from the moment she arrives.
She will teach you how to read Nea, how to keep her calm and what to do when something sets her back.
She can work with you wherever you live.
And she'll continue to do so for as long as Nea takes to settle.
